It was a quarter past midnight when I sat in front of my laptop, nervously typing up my answers. I was one of the two to be featured on my school’s website for a promotional campaign. At the time, Ryerson University had been promoting their engineering programs and I happened to be picked to represent the Architecture Undergraduate studies.
One of the question was: what do you see yourself doing in the future?
I didn’t know at the time and I still don’t have a definite answer now. Mustering up my courage, I typed out: “to become a licensed Architect and a leader in the construction industry”.
To become an Architect is a generic answer one can expect from any Architecture student. I was no exception. At the time, I was convinced that this was the only path. Today, I no longer think so. On the other hand, the latter statement seemed to have been growing on me since that very day.
